Staff Spotlight: Ricardo Bauza, Service Manager- Dunkirk

Tell us what you do at Farrell Roofing:

I am the service manager in Dunkirk. I have worked for the Farrells since June 1976. My job is to check on our customers’ problems and do our best to solve them, may it be a leak or a total roof replacement. We put their needs first.

Where are you from? Family, etc.?

I was born in Dunkirk New York in 1957. I was the first Puerto Rican twin born in Brooks Hospital. I have three brothers and one sister who were born in Puerto Rico, and two brothers and one sister who were born in Dunkirk. They are all hard workers who retired with good jobs. Only I and my youngest sister are still working. I am very proud of my family! I have two daughters and three grandchildren!

What is your favorite hobby? / Favorite sports team?

My favorite hobby is fishing, fly fishing and golfing! Favorite sports teams? The New York Yankees and of course the BUFFALO BILLS!

Tell us what makes your division special?

My division is special because of the challenges we sometimes face when there is a roof issue. Customers are obviously upset and on edge when an issue arises and making them happy and giving them the peace of mind that the job was done right … that makes us special!

What would you like Farrell customers and future Farrell customers to know about our company?

Our company is a team! From the office personnel to the foremen to the roofers. We all work together to give our customers our best. Our company stands by its word! We keep our promises. If we make a mistake we admit it and fix it! We strive for excellence always! This company truly takes care of its employees! I have seen this personally in my 43 years here. Thank you to John Farrell and the whole Farrell family for treating us all like family!

What do you love about what you do?

I love our customers, my co-workers – from the office staff to the roofers – but mostly I love the owners for their concern for the customers and our community!
