March 2-8 is Women in Construction Week, and to celebrate we wanted to highlight some of the incredible women who contribute to the success of our industry – on the roofs, in the offices, and beyond.

When asked what she would say to young women interested in the construction industry/trades Moore said, “Believe in yourself, follow your passion, and never give up, because you will create a future filled with possibility.” |

Tonya WinfieldAfter working in a dental office for 20 years, Tonya joined Jameson Roofing in 2018 to benefit from a job working outdoors. When asked what she would say to young women interested in the trades, Tonya said, “Build confidence by actively seeking knowledge, finding mentors within the industry, networking with other women in construction, and choosing a trade that aligns with your interests.” Lastly, “Be prepared to advocate for yourself while demonstrating a strong work ethic and technical skills. |

Erin McIvorHaving joined the Jameson team three years ago, Erin handles payroll to ensure accurate employee payments while adhering to union guidelines, processes invoices for timely payment and correct job cost allocation, and manages material transfers to maintain proper stock levels. I also focus on employee relations by staying in touch with our team and providing support when needed.When asked what she would say to women interested in the construction industry she said, “There is a lot of opportunity in this industry – keep searching for the position that suits your calling.” |
