Monday: Signature Project Spotlight
We kicked off the week by highlighting one of our recent Signature Projects: St. Peter’s Cathedral in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania.
Completed in the summer of 2023, this project stands as a testament to the skill, expertise, and craftsmanship of our Erie team. The work included the removal and replacement of slate roofing, flashing, underlayment, and the existing copper standing seam roof system across more than 22,000 square feet.
In addition, the project required repairs to damaged wood decking, fabrication and installation of custom copper flashings, and the installation of flange-style gutters. The result is a beautiful restoration that helps preserve one of Erie’s most recognizable landmarks for years to come.
Tuesday: Giving Back to Our Communities
Tuesday was dedicated to community service and charitable giving.
As a family-owned and operated company, we understand the importance of supporting the communities that support us. Giving back has always been a core part of who we are, and 2025 provided countless opportunities to make a positive impact in the areas we serve.
From youth sports organizations to nonprofit agencies, we are proud to support causes that strengthen our communities. A few examples from the past year include:
- Title Sponsor of the Compeer Fore Youth Golf Tournament in Dunkirk, New York
- Contributor to Phase 2 of the Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center expansion in Erie, Pennsylvania
- Sponsor of the St. Edward Hockey Golf Outing in Lakewood, Ohio
- Booth Sponsor and participant in the American Cancer Society’s Construction vs. Cancer event in Las Vegas, Nevada
- Sponsor of the Clinton County Mariners Baseball organization in Plattsburgh, New York
- Sponsor of the Justice League of WNY’s Third Annual Fundraising Gala in Buffalo, New York
These partnerships reflect our commitment to making a meaningful difference beyond the rooftops we work on every day.
Wednesday: Employee Appreciation Day
Our employees were the focus on Wednesday.
As a small token of appreciation for the hardworking men and women who make Farrell Roofing successful, we treated every crew to lunch. While it may seem like a simple gesture, taking time to recognize the dedication, effort, and professionalism of our team is incredibly important.
We are grateful for everyone who helped make the day possible by coordinating lunches and assisting with new team photos. Special thanks to Angelo, Ashley, John S., Lorie, Darin, Jake B., and Nathan for their support.
We believe that recognizing our employees is one of the best investments we can make, and we enjoyed the opportunity to show our appreciation.
Thursday: A Commitment to Training and Safety
Thursday focused on one of the foundations of our success: employee training and safety.
Whether attending company-wide training sessions, learning new installation techniques, participating in fall protection courses, or completing CERTA certification programs, our team is constantly working to improve their skills and knowledge.
Our in-house safety department plays an essential role in ensuring that every employee receives comprehensive training before stepping onto a jobsite each season. This ongoing commitment helps create a safer work environment and reinforces the high standards our customers expect.
In fact, members of our field team collectively complete more than 2,000 hours of safety training each year.
Friday: Reflecting on an Incredible Week And Year!
As National Roofing Week came to a close, we shared photos from our celebrations and reflected on what makes our company so special.
We are fortunate to have dedicated employees, loyal customers, trusted partners, and supportive communities that contribute to our success every day. National Roofing Week provides a great opportunity to recognize those contributions and celebrate the roofing industry as a whole.
